Junior State Champions Crowned!! Date: May 2, 2009 On May 2, 2009 The Arizona Bass Federation held its State Junior Angler Championship on Bartlett Lake. At this special event junior anglers from all over the state competed in three age groups for the Arizona State Championship title and the two older age groups competed for the ultimate prize of qualifying for the National Guard Junior World Championship! The winners and new State Champs are Taylor Ferguson from Waddel, Arizona in the “10 and under” age group. Taylor is a member of the Cholla Bass Busters. In the 11-14 age division Shane Edgar, from Glendale, Arizona and Cory DeLaGrange from Phoenix, Arizona in the 15-18 age division. Shane and Cory are both from the Phoenix Junior BassMasters. Cory DeLaGrange and Shane Edgar are our new State Champion Anglers that will now represent the Arizona Bass Federation and advance to the National Guard Junior World Championship where they will compete for over $30,000 in scholarships and Youth Program Grants.
