Junior Anglers Take Center Stage!! |

Date: May 2, 2009 On May 2, 2009 the Arizona State Bass Federation will be holding its Arizona State Junior Angler Championship on Bartlett Lake. At this special event junior anglers from all over the state will compete in three age groups for the Arizona State Championship. Our first age group is our “10 and under” age group. Their parent takes them out to compete for the state championship. Our next two age groups 11 to 14 and 15 to 18, compete for the state championship and the ultimate prize of qualifying for the National Guard Junior World Championship! Contestants that are 18 years old must be 18 until August 31. The event will begin at safe-light (about 5:30am). We will be launching at the main ramp with the weigh-in starting at 11:00 AM at the same ramp. Come out and watch the stars of tomorrow compete for state bragging rights and a chance to advance to the National Guard Junior World Championship where they will compete for over $30,000 in scholarships and Youth Program Grants. Saguaro Bassmasters, ASU Bass Fishing Team, and the Arizona Bass Federation State Team are gathering together to host a community event at the Bass Pro Shops location in Mesa, Arizona. Bass Pro Shops is located South of the 202 at Dobson Road and we are scheduled for Sunday, March 1st, 10:00am to 2:00pm. The event is youth and community driven. REEL KIDS for the youth is a great opportunity to introduce both boys and girls to fishing and the outdoors. United Blood Service of Arizona will have a motorcoach on site with staff for blood donations. Be a hero in the community and donate; you may save a life today. FLW OUTDOORS HIGHLY ACCLAIMED TELEVISION SHOW TO PREMIERE ON VERSUS Program will air Sundays from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. ET MINNEAPOLIS (Jan. 28, 2009) — FLW Outdoors, the largest tournament fishing organization in the world and the home of FLW Fantasy Fishing, today announced that its programming will premiere on VERSUS, the network which brings anglers the best fishing programming on television featuring the most-trusted authorities on the water. Beginning in April, the Emmy-nominated “FLW Outdoors” program will air approximately 30 original shows, produced in high definition (HD) television, Sundays from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. ET. In 2009, the Forrest Wood Cup will receive a pair of one-hour shows. Each of the six Walmart FLW Tour qualifiers, eight Walmart FLW Series and five Walmart FLW Walleye Tour events will each be given a one-hour show. National Guard FLW College Fishing, a new addition to the 2009 season, will also receive television exposure as the five Regional Championships will be covered with one-hour shows. Lastly, the Walmart BFL All-American, Stren Series Championship and TBF National Championship will be aired on VERSUS.
